OUR MISSION: To support children in foster care who have special needs, to decrease the time they wait for permanent families, and to expand the geographical boundaries in which the best adoptive families may be found.

For cash/check donations, print and fill out this donation form and send it to the address above. Make check payable to Special Needs Adoptive Parent Services, Inc. or "SNAPS". SNAPS is a 501(c) (3) non-profit organization. Donations are tax deductible and we WILL send an acknowledgement.
SNAPS, Inc. is a charitable non-profit organization, founded in 2001. SNAPS' adoption promotion services are through two State contracts, which amount to approximately 50 percent of total funding. Other programs support youth in foster care or provide advocacy and referral for families wanting to adopt from foster care. They are funded through private foundation grants and donations. Your donations to this 501 (c) (3) are tax deductible.
* more than 95% of the donation amount through JustGive.org will be sent directly to SNAPS, Inc. (or you will have the option to pay the admin fee and send 100% of your intended donation amount to us).

YES Mentor Program - In addition to the Wednesday's Child and Wendy’s Wonderful Kids programs, we also administer a mentoring program in the Treasure Valley. The YES Mentor Program is designed to emotionally support youth living in foster care. We provide mentor volunteer training, monthly group activities and ideas for ways to interact individually with a youth.
The Idaho Department of Health and Welfare and State law requires a fingerprint/background check before mentors can meet with children. We can help with that process. You also need a car, a safe driving record and liability coverage on your car. To apply, please select YES Mentor from the menu to the left and download the required forms. Call our office at 208 345-6646 with any YES Mentor volunteer questions. A pre-teen or teen-aged child needs your committed friendship and attention. You could make such a difference in a young person's life!
Funds for Activities - Sometimes cash, check or gift card donations help the most. This money is used to purchase toys for children younger than nine years old or for other projects a child may be engaged in during filming of his or her adoption promotion television segment. If you would like to donate by credit card, click the Donate Now button at the bottom of the home page navigation bar.
Pajamas/Books - We are a drop-off location for the Idaho chapter of the Pajama Program. You can drop off pajamas and/or a book, and we will get it to a child in foster care. Our office address is below. You may want to call first to make sure our staff is not out on a production activity with children. Sizes and reading levels needed most are for ages 4 to 17.
Backpacks/School supplies - We love it when groups conduct backpack drives two months before school starts. Through the summer months, they collect new backpacks and school supplies, which are then donated to foster children as school begins. We are in need of school supplies and backpacks or book bags filled with binders, report covers, pencils, pens, rulers, notebooks, lined paper, etc.. You can bring those supplies to our office or send a gift card to be tucked into a backpack. Our kids love to shop for themselves. It’s such a treat! The backpacks also make it easy for out-of-town Wednesday's Child participants to carry momento gifts back on the plane.
Bags for Bears - Each year Family Christian Stores (Boise) patrons donate cuddly Barnabus Bears to the SNAPS program. We decided to use this signature teddy bear to build a volunteer project in which any community or business can participate.
Many children within foster care move from one place to another with all their worldly goods packed in a trash bag or box. We pair new items donated by others with a duffel bag that each child can use for multiple purposes at school and home. We coordinate projects to collect items that a youth or sibling group entering protective custody can have that very first day or night. The tagged duffel bag will be packed with age and gender-appropriate hygiene supplies, a fleece blanket, pajamas/underwear and comfort items such as puzzles, a reading book and a few sweet treats. A note that is short and thoughtful can be included to let them know your volunteers put these things together for their use and hoping they will know they are in your thoughts. Include the name and address of your organization so they can send a thank you note.
Wednesday’s Child and Mentor Activities - We are always looking for new local businesses to host a Wednesday's Child production or a mentor activity. That means providing the necessary entry fee, materials, food or activity for the child and escort at your business. Examples include providing an art or craft project/instruction, free video games at an arcade, food or treats, entry fee to rides or venues, etc. This is a great way for your local business to support children in foster care, as well as the Idaho Wednesday's Child program.
Digital Photo Frame - If you would like to display a digital photo frame with portraits of Wednesday's Child from the Heart Gallery of Idaho, you can sponsor the cost and make space for it in your waiting room or reception area. Sponsoring the frame simply requires a donation of $125 for the frame and a small space to display it with our business cards. We will load portraits of children on it and will periodically come to load new portraits.
Business Gift Certificates - Whatever your business does that might be enjoyed by a child or youth and an adult escort, we need donated gift certificates for fun activities, i.e. movie tickets, rides, bowling, haircuts, makeovers, clothing, food coupons, sporting events, concert passes, instruction, entertainment, etc. These certificates and coupons will be used for mentor activities or recruitment activities throughout the year.
Donations or gift cards can be sent to:

We express our deep gratitude to our supporters. Your donations make a difference in the quality of services we are able to provide for children waiting in foster care.
