• To develop permanent family connections for youth in foster care who cannot safely return home
• To center recruitment efforts on each youth’s individual desires for family support
• To prepare and support families before and after each permanency placement
Special Needs Adoption and Permanency Services, Inc. (SNAPS) provides support services to children within the foster care systems in Idaho. As a child and family advocacy charity, we want to help caring families find ways of serving our children. Please take the time to check out our programs and read about becoming a resource for a child; as an adoptive parent, a guardian, a foster parent, a mentor, a donor, a sponsor. It is concerned citizens who keep these programs functioning for children.
The Idaho Wednesday’s Child Program is a contracted partnership with the Idaho Department of Health and Welfare. A new vendor, the Idaho Child Welfare Resource and Training Center (ICWRTC) was recently awarded this contract through a competitive bid process. Families who are pursuing adoption of any of the children SNAPS, Inc. has represented at this site may access child profiles and portraits at the new Idaho Wednesday's Child website. You can view those profiles here.
